Invitation to Webinar Next Week/ Other Updates
In this post, I invite you to a webinar next week and share other updates.
Invitation to a Webinar: Preventing a Genocide in Tigray
Many of you have asked me for more information about what is happening in Tigray. I’ve asked my friend Samuel Gebru to join me for a live conversation next Tuesday December 22 at 6pm Central on how we can prevent a genocide. There are only 100 spots available to join us live, so please register now if you want to save your spot. I know you may already have holidays plans so we will also share a recording later.
Calling your elected officials
In my last post, I asked you to call your elected officials. Here’s a screenshot of the response I got from one of my senators. If you have not called yet, I encourage you to do so today or next week.

Mawi - our collective would like to thank you for using your platform time and time again for the liberation and empowerment of your people. Your response from Tammy is a testament to the power the people have to hold their leaders accountable for maintaining peace and security for all people everywhere. We have reached out to you on Twitter and would like to follow up with our ask for you to support our campaign to petition UNSC to sanction Ethiopian Airlines for being complicit in Ethiopian government's Intl Human Rights violations. We believe this sanction can apply the pressure we need to get the President's attention and ceasefire in Tigray and ethnic profiling of Tigrayans throughout Ethiopia. Here is the link https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/defund-tigray-genocide-and-sanction-ethiopian-airlines?source=direct_link you can also find us at @defund_genocide and/or our linktree https://linktr.ee/defundtigraygenocide for more information on our campaign.
