Save Tigray is a newsletter that aims to save the lives of five million people who live in Tigray, Ethiopia. On November 4, the Ethiopian government declared war on Tigray, the northernmost region of Ethiopia. Over 60,000 refugees have already fled to Sudan and one million are estimated to be displaced.

Decades ago, I fled Tigray as a young boy to escape a different war and survived a Sudanese refugee camp for three years. I am alive today because of the courage of my family and the kindness of strangers.
